DUBUQUE, IOWA – A night of comedy and magic at the Diamond Jo’s Mississippi Moon Bar raised $2,400 for the Tri-State Women Warriors on Friday, September 12.
The successful fundraiser, facilitated by Top Billing Entertainment, featured a performance by professional comedy magician Nathan Tricky Allen, a recent Dubuque transplant with 25 years of experience performing nationwide. The show also included an opening set by local comedian and military veteran Bama Ohnesorge.
Attendees were treated to a unique blend of stand-up comedy, sleight-of-hand magic, and hilarious audience participation that earned a standing ovation.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support,” said Bama, the representative from Tri-State Women Warriors. “The funds raised will directly help us in our mission to provide advocacy and a strong support network for women veterans and service members in the tri-state area.”
The Tri-State Women Warriors organization is dedicated to serving women veterans by offering a safe space for connection and support. The money raised will help fund their ongoing efforts to address the unique needs of women transitioning from military to civilian life.
The event demonstrated the power of entertainment to bring communities together for a deserving cause.
